What kind of ritual can I do to honor Danu?
I suggest committing to a simple practice and a daily prayer. You might do this daily or weekly as you move through the month.
Ritual:
- Find a pretty bowl, clear ideally, but any bowl will work. Fill it with water–spring water, river water, ocean water, or tap water.
- Tend to the bowl of water on your altar.
- Refresh it each day.
- Make small offerings of oil or herbs or flowers into the water.
- Light a candle honoring the goddess.
- Offer a prayer—out loud is best.
- One possibility is:
Danu, goddess mother,
keeper of earth and sky.
I open my heart to your wisdom.
I attune my ears to your ebb and flow.
I align myself with your arising and becoming.
I am patient enough to listen,
strong enough to change,
and brave enough to choose.
Thank you for guiding me in the great cycles
of life’s unfolding rhythm.
- One possibility is:
