As we cross the threshold into a new month, you might be wondering: how can I nourish and support myself with simple rituals and practices in the autumn? What are some ideas for fall equinox magic? How can I honor the goddess (the divine feminine, the sacred feminine) in September? Here are some ideas!
A reminder that companion snapshot practice and prayer cards for September are available at #30DaysofGoddess as well as a 101 starter kit. And, join me each week for live community practices and daily inspiration in the Goddess Magic community.
The primary themes of this video are:
- Connecting with nature, the earth goddesses, and one’s inner wisdom through rituals, ceremonies, and tuning into the landscape.
- Unclenching your life, finding flow and ease, and simplifying to make more space for magic.
- Honoring the crumbs of one’s soul and finding inner resources to live one’s dreams.
- Embracing the unfolding and arising of life’s experiences with gratitude and devotion.
Some key practices mentioned in this video include:
- Tuning into the landscape, earth goddesses, and cycles of nature to find wisdom and connection.
- Rescuing and nourishing the “crumbs of the soul” through solitary time and self-care.
- Unclenching one’s life by letting go of what’s holding you back and opening to more ease and flow.
- Reflecting on questions about simplifying, finding margin for magic, and allowing things to be easy.
- Returning to one’s inner resources and the “current of the sacred” that runs beneath life’s surface.
- Practicing gratitude, devotion, and acceptance of where you are in the unfolding of your life.
Some affirmations to use:
- I step into the flow of life’s unfolding.
- I am already whole, powerful, and strong. The spark of the infinite glows inside me.
- The pulse of the sacred is in my veins, the breath of the holy is in my chest. There is temple ground beneath my feet.
- I am living with and from devotion. I am already doing it now.
- I am centered and connected, sacred and strong.
- I am untethered and free.
- I move with ease into the flow of this day’s unfolding.
Here are some ideas for creating magical practices this month:
- Land-based rituals: Connecting with the local landscape, elements, and spirits of place through offerings, meditations, or simple outdoor ceremonies.
- Soul tending: Intentional time and practices to nourish the “crumbs of the soul,” such as journaling, art-making, or simply sitting in solitude.
- Flow-inducing activities: Engaging in tasks, hobbies or creative pursuits that allow you to enter a state of ease, presence and creative flow.
- Margin-making: Consciously creating more spaciousness in your schedule and lifestyle to make room for magic, spontaneity and serendipity.
- Devotional practices: Rituals, chants, or embodied practices that cultivate a sense of reverence, gratitude and devotion to the sacred.
- Seasonal celebrations: Marking the turning of the wheel of the year through rituals, festivals, offerings, simple pilgrimages or small home-based rituals.
- Reclaiming the magic of the ordinary: Finding the sacred and the extraordinary within the mundane details and routines of daily life.
The key is to let your practices arise organically from your own inner yearnings and connection to the land, while also remaining flexible and open to the flow.
A Prayer for Danu (note: this prayer is a compilation inspired by this month’s questions, quotes, and ideas, rolled into a single offering):
Sacred Mother Danu,
Goddess of the land and waters,
we open ourselves to the flow of your blessings.
May we root down into the temple ground beneath our feet,
and feel the pulse of the holy in our veins.
Guide us to unclench our lives,
to let go and make space for the magic to unfold.
Help us savor the crumbs of our souls,
nourishing the spark of the infinite within.
As the wheel turns and life changes,
may we remain centered and connected,
untethered and free to move with ease
into the sacred unfolding of each new day.
We embrace the wisdom and support of this land
we walk on.
Carry us on the current of your grace,
that we may live and love in devotion.
Blessed be.
