There are things in life
we can plot and plan,
courses we can chart,
maps we can follow,
directions we can take,
but much of life
is about flinging our hearts
open to uncertainty,
about extending our hands
into mystery,
and about having
the courage to let Life
live us
in full,
to hold on to what we can
as the great spiral
continues to unfurl
and infinity kisses our brows
with laughter.
