Daily Prayers handout

Yoga Practices from Joy Fichiera

Ongoing Everyday Magic class (free)

Note: the daily meditation book I reference in this audio is actually called Meditations for Living in Balance (also note that it is not my favorite among daily meditation books, it is just the one I chose for 2018).

  1. This was wonderful, thank you! I took notes furiously and had my Story Goddess next to me as I listened <3 I loved every bit of this recording, plus it answered so many of my questions.

I was wondering if you could clear up a confusion for me. I come from a Christian background. So when someone would mention "God," I always knew which God they were referring to. But on this path, sometimes people are drawn to a particular goddess, or as you did in this recording, refer to Her as "goddess," as opposed to a name. Is She one goddess, with many names, and it's just a matter of which attribute you connect with the most? Or are there many goddesses?

    Thank you for everything!

    1. Glad you enjoyed it, Stacie! There are several ways to answer this question, but basically the answer is “yes” to all–some people perceive/experience her as one goddess with many aspects, other people experience/perceive many distinct, goddesses with clear differences and distinct identities, and other people choose the word “Goddess” to name that ineffable sense of the sacred/ground of being that other people call by many different names.

I talk about these differing concepts, ideas, and approaches in the Deity, Archetype, and Ideal section of the Goddess Studies and Ritual class: https://seekingblissonline.com/courses/3624/activities/8044 and also in my recording for that class here: https://seekingblissonline.com/courses/374/activities/8042

I also have a separate audio that I recorded for a different class that I will upload into the Everyday Magic classroom in the next couple of months. πŸ™‚
