A Prayer for Samhain (a reading for a Samhain ritual)

Beloved Goddess,
Mother of All,
we gather
in this sacred time of transition.
As the veil thins
and the earth descends into rest,
we open ourselves to the magic
that surrounds us.
May we see the ceremonies
unfolding in our landscapes,
the dances of leaves,
the calls of birds,
the whispers of the wind.
May we listen deeply,
with hearts attuned
to the rhythms of life.
When our minds grow erratic
and our spirits long to retreat,
grant us the courage
to face the shards of our year
with patience.
Remind us that our magic
lies within our own hands,
our own breath,
our own being.
In times of brokenness or despair,
let us remember our wholeness.
We are still here,
still alive,
still worthy of love and wonder.
May we tend the cauldron
of our souls,
allowing new ideas
to simmer and rise.
Guide us,
Great Goddess,
as we prepare for the inward journey.
Help us to ease up,
to let go,
to make space for rest and reflection.
Attune us to the wild and wise unfolding,
that we may live in harmony.
We are grateful for this sacred pause,
this time to replenish and renew.
May we carry your blessings with us,
as we tend the magic
of our lives.
Blessed be.
