The prayers for this devotional were written in 2023, but during our current trip, while walking alone on the beach at sunset, I suddenly “saw” the book fully formed in my mind AND heard the title clearly. 22 hours later, I had a functioning draft!

This book is so much about creativity and sacred work that while I do feel slightly ridiculous for “suddenly” writing an entire book in a day and getting stressed while traveling about layout and formatting issues (there are always layout issues, no matter how many books I write), I also feel like this book is itself perfect evidence of exactly what I was writing about–that creativity is the original impulse of all things and pre-dates time herself.
