How to Create a Simple Ritual (especially when you don’t have enough time)

How to create a ritual:
Look at the sky.
Touch your skin.
Breathe deep in your belly.
Feel your heart beat.
Stand on the earth.
Let life carry you
.

Here are some small daily practices that can help you step into the flow of life this month, regardless of the length of your to-do list.

1. Look at the sky and place your hands on your heart. This simple practice of connecting with the natural elements around you can help you feel grounded and present.

2. Breathe deeply into your belly and feel your heartbeat. Tuning into your breath and physical sensations can anchor you in the here and now.

3. Stand on the earth and let life carry you. Placing your feet on the ground and allowing the earth to support you can foster a sense of being carried by the flow of life.

4. Pause to listen to your heart, soul, and the sacredness of the moment. Taking a moment to check in with yourself and the sacred nature of the present can help you feel more connected.

5. Invoke a sense of the divine (such as the Goddess Danu!) to step into the flow of the day. Connecting to a larger power or spiritual presence can provide a sense of being supported and guided.

Engage your senses, connect to your body, and cultivate an awareness of the sacredness of the present moment through simple practices like these and you will more often feel yourself in sync with the flow of life, aligned with the sacred as you move through your day.

A simple morning prayer:

(Danu)
Goddess Mother,
I step into the flow
of this day’s unfolding.
I pause to listen,
to check in with my heart,
my soul,
and with the sacred.
In this moment,
I let life carry me.
