“A Spell for Restoration,”
I wake with these words in my mind.
I step outside and gather to me:
a strip of
tree lined horizon,
a wide bowl of grey sky.
I fold in the sound of wild geese
dust on a little bit of snow.
I add a lot of waiting,
sprinkles of wonder.
and a big cup of joy
I garnish it with plenty of time
I always imagine
I can do everything
and I cannot,
but this I can remember:
I am at home
even as I seek.
What is your own spell for restoration? Last week, I woke up with those words in mind: “A spell for restoration.” I went outside and found my own spell ingredients from the stuff of my life and landscape. There is magic all around us.
