“Instead of planting our solitude with our own dream blossoms, we choke the space with continuous music, chatter, and companionship to which we do not even listen. It is simply there to fill the vacuum. When the noise stops there is not inner music to take its place.”
–Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Gift from the Sea

Our card from the Goddess Oracle deck was Aeracura, a Celtic goddess of the Earth, flowers, and fairies. How might you call upon the medicine of flowers this week? (Essences, planting, aromatherapy, observations…) She reminds us that we are like buds curled up, waiting to blossom. Don’t try to rush yourself to bloom, but trust your own path. “Have patience with yourself and the process and don’t give up.” How are you taking time to nourish and nurture your body lately? Your sense of beauty? Are you able to be patient with yourself, with what you are planting, tending, and watching bloom?
You might wish to read this poem aloud or to yourself (replacing “you” with “I”):
“You are a ritual.
Your breath is the air of knowing.
Your body
grounding earth.
Your spirit
the fire of intention.
Your blood the ebb and flow
of deep waters emotion.
You are a ritual.
Never forget you are magic
made flesh, blood and whole
And sacred spells are written in your soul.”
–C. Ara Campbell, The Goddess Circle
Affirmation for the week: I plant my dream blossoms and listen to my inner music.
May you heal, may you bloom, and may you listen deeply.
I also wanted to note that our free Goddess Studies and Ritual class is once more open for registration! Enjoy!
“I am a scribe of sands,
these hands
related by tribe, by species
to those that painted a pride
of lions on cave walls…”
–Bonnie Morrisey (We’Moon Datebook 2016)
